I believe every artist has some sort of ego. There’s nothing wrong with having a little ego.
What does make it wrong is when that ego gets in the way of making you a better artist, or even worse, help others become better themselves. You should never feel too high to where you can’t reach someone in need or feel like you do not need to be challenged.
Even rulers receive humbling experiences, desired or not. But the ones who receive the learning and the desire to do better, they’re revered more in the long run. Same with art.
Do your best to stay confident and humbled in your work. The respect from others will follow.
